Defining a site in Dreamweaver

Before making any changes to the web site, ensure that Dreamweaver is using the proper site definition. There is one correct Dreamweaver site definition for each the five schools, plus one for the school district. The one for the school district can be used for editing any of the top-level directories except for the five school directories: ers, jbs, ns, oahs, and pgs.

The key information is the remote site info and is shown here. To check this view, select the Site menu in Dreamweaver, then Manage Sites..., then select the appropriate site definition from the list, and click the Edit... button.

In the view below, select the Advanced tab at the top, and the Remote Info option on the category list on the left. This will present a screen similar to the one presented here. The host directory matches the school directory (or is left blank for the district pages and directories.)
