OAHS World Language Dept. presents annual Cultural Kaleidoscope
The Oxford Area High School World Language Department will sponsor the eighth annual Cultural Kaleidoscope on Thursday, March 31 from 5 to 7 p.m. in the cafeteria and gymnasium of the school located at 705 Waterway Road, East Nottingham. The event is free and open to the community.
Cultural Kaleidoscope will feature a variety of projects by all world language students based on the language and culture they are studying, including displays, artwork, videos, and bilingual children’s books. Many students will make authentic cuisine from the various world language cultures, which can be enjoyed by all who attend. The event will also feature performances of dances and music from the various naions.
“In past years we've had huge turnouts for Cultural Kaleidoscope ... hundreds of people,” said World Language Department chairman Joe Long. “Parents, kids, siblings, administration and community members come out for a free taste of culture.
“This year’s Cultural Kaleidoscope should be the best one yet. The food is authentic and delicious, the performances are very entertaining, and community members will have a great time.”
