OAHS senior Madison Irving to receive J.D. Unangst Scholarship

Oxford Area High School senior Madison Irving, daughter of Susan and Edward Irving, is one of eight recipients of the $1,500 J.D. Unangst Scholarship sponsored by the Franklin Mint Federal Credit Union.

Madison is vice president of the high school’s Student Renaissance Committee, a four year member of Student Council and Future Business Leaders of America, and a member of the high school’s chapter of the LEOs Club of Lions International. Madison has played left wing on the varsity field hockey team since her sophomore year and was senior captain and team MVP as a senior.

Madison will enter Penn State University this fall to study nutritional sciences. She and the other scholarship recipients will be recognized at the 2012 Franklin Mint Credit Union Partners in Learning Celebration on April 19 at the Drexelbrook Corporate Events Center in Drexel Hill.
